NHL Invests in Renewable Energy with Major Solar Panel Installation

NHL has taken another significant step forward in its commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility with the installation of a new 244kW solar PV system at its manufacturing facility, supplied and installed by Premier Electrical Group.

The system, comprising 400 solar panels, is projected to generate approximately 220,000 units of renewable electricity per year, meeting around 25% of the site’s total energy requirements.

This investment forms a key part of NHL’s broader Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy, aimed at reducing environmental impact, improving operational efficiency, and contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable future.

The new installation is expected to save an estimated 83,000 kilograms (83 tonnes) of CO2 emissions per year.

Colm McGrath, Managing Director of NHL, commented:
“At NHL, we are committed to investing in sustainable solutions that not only reduce our environmental footprint but also make long term business sense. This solar project with Premier Electrics demonstrates our focus on responsible growth and innovation. It’s a tangible step toward achieving our ESG goals and a cleaner future for our team, our clients, and our community.”

NHL extends its thanks to Premier Electrical Group for their expertise and partnership on this project.
